From the Principal's desk

At Southdowns College Pre-Preparatory School our young learners are under the guidance and care of well qualified, friendly and committed educators.

Our curriculum covers all learning areas considered to be suitable and necessary for pre-schoolers, as prescribed in the National Curriculum for Pre - School learners. This, together with a rich and varied roster, exposes our children to many additional, stimulating and fun filled co-curricular activities.

The Academic Enrichment Centre situated on our campus, caters for any learners who may require additional attention. This centre houses an Educational Psychologist, an Occupational Therapist, a Speech Therapist and Specialist Remedial Teachers. Here an environment is created where the Therapists and Educators are in constant consultation, discussing and sharing knowledge to facilitate and improve the quality of our teaching for the benefit of our learners. Our playground is both inviting and expansive and encourages running and self directed play. The carefully planned and constructed outdoor equipment stimulates climbing, cycling and sand play, promoting Gross Motor Development.    

We focus on good, caring values and the educators at Southdowns College Pre-Preparatory lead by example. The children are treated in a courteous, gentle manner, within a well controlled and disciplined environment. We pride ourselves on the loving and safe environment that we have created for our  young learners. Southdowns College as a whole is a caring community where no one gets lost and everyone is loved and appreciated.
